My article on BI with SQL2005 has been published by SDA Magazine, Indonesia edition recently. Some of my colleagues ask me for an english version of it. Weekend tgl 4-5 Febr 2006 kemarin, saya dan Zeddy mengunjungi SMU TN untuk memberikan training VWD Express dan DNN. Ini bukan hardcore training tentang OOP atau design pattern. Goal utamanya adalah untuk encourage mereka belajar lebih jauh tentang dotnet, khususnya ASP.NET. Menggunakan VWD Express dan DNN Starter kit sangat sesuai dengan background peserta yang umumnya non IT. Pesertanya para guru dan siswa SMU TN, serta beberapa guru SMU di wilayah Magelang. Peserta mendapatkan modul lengkap yg terdiri dari hardcopy, CD IlmuKomputer.Com, CD Video Training VWD Express, dan CD kumpulan source DNN.
Saya lebih memilih menggunakan DNN Starter Kit daripada install manual karena beberapa alasan:
- DNN Starter Kit dapat menggunakan VWD Express, lightweight and free ASP.NET editor.
- Bisa running dengan Cassini, jadi tidak perlu mengajari setup IIS :)
- Running diatas ASP.NET 2.0 dan SQL Express. lagi-lagi free!
- Manajemen SQL Express bisa langsung dari VWD Express, tidak perlu mengajarkan setup SQL Server from scratch ;)
- File - file DNN bisa langsung diedit dengan VWD Express
Back to campus, mengajarkan dotnet kepada guru yg 15 thn lalu mengajari saya MS DOS dan DBase :)
