Multicast IPv6 on TEIN2 backbone
As you know, TEIN2 NOC has activated IPv4/IPv6 multicast over TEIN2
backbone.
So far, there are six TEIN2 NREN/partners who have brought up multicast
peering(PIM, MSDP and MBGP etc.) with TEIN2 backbone, including
Australia(AARNet), Philippines(ASTI), China(CERNET), Korea(KOREN),
Thailand(ThaiREN) and Europe(GEANT2).
At present, more and more TEIN2 customers are using TEIN2 backbone to
carry out research and collaboration on multicast application, and they
are eager to extend the reachability of multicast application over TEIN2
networks.
Therefore, on behalf of TEIN2 customers, TEIN2 NOC would like to know if
ITB has any plan to activate multicast peering with TEIN2 backbone in
the near future, and we will be always ready to cooperate with ITB on that.
