Adding Pushpin to Bing Maps

Maps.MapControl.dll dan Microsoft.Maps.MapControl.

private MapLayer _pushpinLayer;

private void MainPage_Loaded(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)

{

_pushpinLayer = new MapLayer();

myMap.Children.Add(_pushpinLayer);

myMap.MouseClick +=
new EventHandler<MapMouseEventArgs>(myMap_MouseClick);

}

{

Point clickLocation = e.ViewportPoint;

Location location = myMap.ViewportPointToLocation(clickLocation);

AddPushpin(location.Latitude, location.Longitude);

}

Mudah bukan? Hehehe...

I think no one won't say "WOW!!" after they've seen the site. It's just amazing! HURRAY!!

Sebelumnya, saya ingin menjelaskan beberapa hal.

<m:Map CredentialsProvider="Akp3Tvt8ywljNzOsTaHwqw3ZxShUIHbeVpKedT-CzUH1yp_HcK9C5eMJTOZ15R_X"

Mode="AerialWithLabels"

Center="32.362980181127874,-64.71483707427978"

ZoomLevel="17">

<m:Pushpin Name="pinMartelloTower"

Location="32.362980181127874,-64.71483707427978"

MouseLeftButtonDown="pinMartelloTower_MouseLeftButtonDown"/>

</m:Map>

<de:HtmlHost Name="htmlHost" HorizontalAlignment="Stretch" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"></de:HtmlHost>

{

public partial class MainPage : UserControl

{

Photosynth cwPhotosynth = new Photosynth();public MainPage()

{

InitializeComponent();

LayoutRoot.SizeChanged +=
new SizeChangedEventHandler(LayoutRoot_SizeChanged);

}

private void LayoutRoot_SizeChanged(object sender, SizeChangedEventArgs e)

{

cwPhotosynth.Width = e.NewSize.Width * 0.8;

cwPhotosynth.Height = e.NewSize.Height * 0.8;

}

private void pinMartelloTower_MouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e)

{

cwPhotosynth.Title = "Art Gallery";cwPhotosynth.htmlHost.SourceHtml = "<iframe frameborder='0' src='http://photosynth.net/embed.aspx?cid=ba12ab48-6899-4d7f-b28c-624f5f7ff4f0&delayLoad=false&slideShowPlaying=false' width='100%' height='100%'></iframe>";

cwPhotosynth.Show();

}

}

}

<param name="windowless" value="true" />

Hit F5 and just see how amazing Photosynth really is. Source code program dapat di download disini. Enjoy...

Windows 7 MultiPoint Mouse SDK 1.5.1 Released And available for download

A new version of a developer tool designed to enable the creation of applications that support multiple users with individual mouse devices simultaneously is now available for download. The Windows MultiPoint Mouse Software Development Kit is now up to version 1.5.1, introducing a few enhancements since the previous release of the SDK. According to the Redmond company, the focus with version 1.5.1 of the Windows MultiPoint Mouse was on kicking up a notch the user experience in terms of performance, but also device support.

“New features in Windows Multipoint Mouse SDK 1.5.1 compared with version 1.5: Improved performance on low-end modern hardware, especially Atom-based netbooks. Improved device detection (PS/2, trackpad, and Bluetooth mouse devices are now supported),” Microsoft revealed.

The previous release of the development framework, namely version 1.5, was offered in mid-January 2010. As of the start of 2010, the evolution of the SDK has made it possible for developers to build Multipoint-enabled applications tailored to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

The MultiPoint Mouse SDK is just one aspect of the Redmond company’s vision involving shared computing resources. Enabling multiple individual mouse devices to be used simultaneously on a single computer is one way to compensate for the lack of IT resources, especially in schools. Apps built with MultiPoint can be used by up to 25 students simultaneously on just one machine, allowing all to benefit from the technology.

In the second half of February 2010, Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 was launched, offering an OS built to streamline sharing of computing resources. Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 can be installed on a central computer and have users connect to it via individual mice/keyboards and monitors, replicating the experience of a full PC. As of February 24th, 2010, Microsoft’s OEM partners have started offering Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 preinstalled on new computers.

Windows MultiPoint Mouse Software Development Kit 1.5.1 is available for download here.

WCF RIA Services RC2 Released Along with WCF RIA Services Toolkit April 2010

A new development milestone of Windows Communication Foundation RIA Services is now available for download from Microsoft. Earlier this month, the Redmond company offered the second Release Candidate of WCF RIA Services for Silverlight 4 and Visual Studio 2010. In addition to the new RC of WCF RIA Services, early adopters can also grab the April 2010 release of the WCF RIA Services Toolkit. Both can be grabbed from the Microsoft Download Center, according to Nicholas Allen, a program manager at Microsoft working on Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, Silverlight, and other projects for the .NET Framework.

”RIA Services are an application design pattern that lives between ASP.NET and Silverlight in a multi-tier architecture. Inside RIA Services you can host application logic for data access control, queries, and other data operations. Integration with Silverlight components and controls allows for data validation and access control to automatically be made available to the client,” Allen explained.

Microsoft released its latest generation of development platform and tools to customers recently. Devs have been able to work with the RTM of Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4 and Silverlight 4 since last week.

WCF RIA Services RC2 along with the WCF RIA Services Toolkit April 2010 come at almost a month since the release of the previous RC development milestone for the Services, and the March 2010 version of the Toolkit. “The update from the release candidate at this year’s MIX event includes bug fixes, improvements to tracing and debugging, and some minor feature enhancements. This release candidate also has a corresponding April update to the RIA Services toolkit,” Allen added.

With the WCF RIA Services Toolkit, Microsoft is essentially providing what it calls a collection of forward-looking RIA Services features that comes to complement the normal release cycle.

Using Windows 7 Text-to-Speech From .NET 4 and WPF (part 1)

  • Microsoft Windows 7 Professional
  • Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate RTM
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4

Cukup basa-basinya, let's begin coding...

1. Buat project baru di Visual Studio 2010.

Project ini saya beri nama WpfTextToSpeechDemo. Feel free to change it to your liking :D

2. Tambahkan reference System.

So, let's continue...

<Grid>

<Grid.ColumnDefinitions>

<ColumnDefinition Width="*" />

<ColumnDefinition Width="2*" />

</Grid.ColumnDefinitions>

<ListBox x:Name="AvalilableFieldList" Grid.Column="0" />

<StackPanel Orientation="Vertical" Grid.Column="1">

<TextBlock Text="Text to Speech" Margin="5 5 5 1" />

<TextBox x:Name="TextToSpeech" Margin="5 1 5 5" Height="100" TextWrapping="Wrap" />

<Button x:Name="Speak" Margin="5" Width="75" HorizontalAlignment="Right" Content="Speak" />

</StackPanel>

</Grid>

Masih banyak deadline tugas menanti soalnya. Hehehe..

Enjoy...

Silverlight 4 RTW Set for April 15, 2010

The wait is over for the next iteration of Silverlight, well, almost over. Having already confirmed that it would release Silverlight 4 to web by the end of this week, Microsoft revealed that the final bits would be made available for download this Thursday. While on stage at the official Silverlight 4 launch event in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 13, 2010, Scott Guthrie, corporate vice president, .NET Developer Platform, indicated that Microsoft had wrapped up the successor of Silverlight 3. Just a day earlier, Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 had been released to manufacturing, and offered to customers worldwide. The software giant is now pushing on with its big week for developers with the release of Silverlight 4 RTW.

“So when is everything shipping? We started the Silverlight 4.0 process in November at our PDC conference when we shipped the first beta of it,” Guthrie stated. “We shipped the release candidate here in Vegas, actually, last month at our MIX conference. And we're excited to announce that we're shipping the final release of it this week. You'll be able to download the final Silverlight 4.0 bits along with the Visual Studio 2010 tooling support for those bits starting this Thursday, April 15. And basically, everything you've seen here today, all of the scenarios that we've walked through, you'll be able to take advantage of, you'll be able to build these exact same applications, and you'll be able to start deploying them to your customers.”

Silverlight 4 brings to the table a variety of features designed to streamline development of RIA projects, but also to support rich experiences for users. Silverlight 4 is ultimately only a piece of the Microsoft Cloud puzzle, and it needs to be used in conjunction with additional technology from the company. While features such as Deep Zoom, Media Format extensibility, Perspective 3D Graphics, Pixel Shader Effects, Out of Browser support, etc., require only the plugin, for IIS Smooth Streaming, devs need to also tap Windows Server and IIS.

“We've added a lot of great features with Silverlight 4.0, enabled a bunch of new capabilities. We've also been very focused with this release on the fundamentals in terms of quality and performance,” Guthrie explained. “We've also focused on startup, and with this release, we're about 30 percent faster to startup when you first launch an application while making it really responsive. We're also adding new profiling APIs so that you can use profilers like Visual Studio or other tools to be able to monitor your applications, identify hot spots and easily fix them.”

Microsoft: Visual Studio 2010 incompatible with Win Phone dev tools (for now)

If you’re using the preview version of the recently announced Windows Phone Developer Tools and are chomping at the bit to get the final Visual Studio 2010 bits, you might want to hold off for a few more weeks.

It turns out the final VS 2010 product is incompatible with the Windows Phone Developer Tools Community Technology Preview (CTP), as Microsoft officials acknowledged in a blog posting on April 12.

From the post from Charlie Kindel, Microsoft Partner Group Program Manager for the Windows Phone Application Platform & Developer Experience:

“If you install the retail (RTM) release of Visual Studio 2010 on the same machine on which you already have the Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP, you will be unable to build your Windows Phone projects.  Further, while the Windows Phone project type will continue to appear in the File/New dialog, you will not be able to build Windows Phone 7 applications.”

Kindel said Microsoft is planning to release an updated version of the Windows Phone Developer Tools “within a few weeks.” (There’s a sign-up page for those who want to be notified once that update is available.)

One way to get around the problem is for testers to continue to use the VS 2010 Release Candidate, instead of the final bits, until Microsoft releases the updated CTP. Kindel also suggested some workarounds for those who want to use the final version of VS 2010, including installing VS 2010 to a Virtual PC image or installing VS 2010 on another machine. He noted that installing the Windows Phone Developer Tools preview to a Virtual PC image is not supported.

Jadi, buat para developer yang masih ingin mendevelop aplikasi Windows Phone 7, harap sabar menunggu atau tetap gunakan Visual Studio 2010 RC. Enjoy...

Expression Web 3 SP2 Build 3.0.3816.0 Additional Info

Microsoft released to web the second service pack for Expression Web 3 on April 6th, 2010. Yesterday, I told you that downloads of Expression Web 3 SP2 Build 3.0.3816.0 went live and provided the necessary links. Following the RTW of the service pack, Microsoft has also provided additional information on just what the second major upgrade for Expression Web 3 brings to the table. According to the software giant, the focus of Expression Web 3 SP2 was placed on delivering bug fixes, but also improvements to the application across the table and SuperPreview enhancements. google_protectAndRun("ads_core.google_render_ad", google_handleError, google_render_ad);

The previous service pack for Expression Web 3 was offered in the second half of 2009, five months ahead of SP2. Microsoft explains that Service Pack 2 can be installed on top of Expression Web 3 version 3.0.1762.0 and 3.0.1773.0, but also Expression Web 3 SP1 3.0.3813.0. Following integration, the build number of the development tool will be bumped to 3.0.3816.0.

A member of the Expression team has enumerated the changes in “Expression Web 3 SP2:

“- The SuperPreview feature now supports Firefox 3.6. If Firefox 3.6 is installed on your computer, it will be available in SuperPreview.

“- When editing PHP files, you may have been asked to update related hyperlinks on the page. If you did so, some PHP tags may have been removed. PHP tags are no longer removed when you update related hyperlinks.

“- When you renamed a PDF file from the Folder List panel, the PDF file became corrupted and could not be opened. PDF files now save normally.

“- Expression Web 3 would crash if the list-style-image property was used in a CSS file. Using the list-style-image property in a CSS file no longer causes Expression Web to crash.

“- SuperPreview sometimes crashed while launching because of a problem that occurred when locating Firefox on your computer. SuperPreview no longer crashes while locating Firefox.”

Office 2010 Technical Beta Closing Down

With the first wave of the Office 2010 launch now on the horizon, Microsoft is gearing up to shut down the testing program that helped build the next iteration of the Office System. Early adopters involved in the Beta of Office 2010 are receiving email messages, informing them that the program will close at the end of this month. Microsoft already confirmed that it would launch Office 2010 RTM on May 12, a release that will be reserved for business users. The general availability deadline of Office 2010 is planned for June 2010, almost a month after the business launch of the productivity suite.

“Thank you for participating in the Technical Beta program for Microsoft Office 2010. Your feedback and suggestions have helped make this our best release of Office and SharePoint! As we approach the end of this beta, we want to let you know that our Office 2010 Technical Beta program on Connect will close on Friday, April 30th. After this date, you will no longer be able to access the Technical Beta program,” an excerpt from the email sent to testers reads.

Microsoft has yet to disclose the RTM (release to manufacturing) date of Office 2010, having only indicated that it plans to sign-off on the product by the end of this month. With Office 2010 shipping to business users on May 12, MSDN and TechNet subscribers are also expected to get the bits early, probably as soon as the successor of Office 2007 will RTM.

Office 2010 RC Build 4734.1000 was offered to a select pool of testers at the start of February 2010. However, despite having produced a Release Candidate build, Microsoft continued to offer Office 2010 Beta 14.0.4536.1000 to users worldwide. The Beta continues to be available for download even at this point in time, but Microsoft will discontinue downloads soon.

“On behalf of all the Microsoft Office 2010 product teams, we would like to say ‘Thank You’ for participating in the beta, and we look forward to working with you again in the future. Sincerely, Microsoft Office 2010 Technical Beta Program Team,” the email further adds.

Silverlight 4 Coming Right Up

Microsoft will launch Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4 and Silverlight 4 concomitantly next week, on April 12, 2010. As it was the case with Windows 7, the Redmond company paid close attention to customers, devs and partners with the perfecting of its next-generation development platform and tools and the successor of Silverlight 3. Eddie Amos, general manager, Developer Division, indicated that, with the availability of Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4 and Silverlight 4, it was providing devs with the necessary resources to build applications both for existing and emerging platforms.

“In the new versions of Visual Studio .NET, and Silverlight, we’ve packed hundreds of new features and benefits that improve the development lifecycle from design to deployment. With these new tools, developers can get to where they want to be without getting bogged down in the process. They’ll be able to easily create compelling user experiences both on and off the Web,” Amos stated.

In the video embedded at the bottom of this article, you will be able to see a range of people that have helped build the products enumerated above, delivering a glimpse behind the scenes. One topic of focus is the delay of Visual Studio 2010. The successor of VS 2008 was initially planned for availability by the end of March 2010. However, at the start of 2010, Microsoft revealed that it had taken into consideration the launch of a Release Candidate following the Beta 2 build, in order to deal with performance issues that had been highlighted by tester feedback.

“Over the past year the team has shared details about the specific benefits being released in Visual Studio 2010, .NET Framework 4 and Silverlight 4. And we have received a great deal of crucial feedback from our customers and the development community to ensure we are delivering the best products possible. I am very much looking forward to hearing from customers on how we’ve done in the final releases of these products,” Amos said.

At this point in time, early adopters can still grab the bits for the RC builds of VS 2010 and .NET 4. At the same time, the Release Candidate of Silverlight 4 is also available for download, having been offered in mid-March 2010, at the MIX10 conference in Las Vegas.

“Releasing the next wave of Microsoft developer products is a process that requires time and a lot of decisions. I have seen everyone on the Microsoft’s Visual Studio, .NET Framework and Silverlight teams put in a lot of hard work. It was all done with one key goal: Enabling developers to focus on quality and creativity by delivering a platform that makes it easy for them to use their existing knowledge to build apps for current and emerging environments,” Amos added.
