Multimedia Database

Belakangan ini sering sharing" dengan teman yang baru beli gadget andoid baru, setelah di oprek" dan coba install aplikasi dari market nya.. ternyata banyak aplikasi" yang menarik (at least for me it interesting) hehehe...

but, recently I am interest with

Google Googles

if usually we use query or find  with keyword

select *

from <obj.name>

where <field.name>  like '%%'

but with this application we can find with visual object instead of using words

even we can use this application for playing play chess,( you can see the video for more information)

hehehe...

Environment that makes people HATE IT?

Environment for the project development and operation maintenance is mixed.

sometimes you must focus with your deadline project and give presentation to management. Suddenly at the same time users calling you and they are complaining about error from the application or the reports are wrong and not just that, other users are complain about your application performance that running very slowly
And some users complaining because they are can't use the application from there machine while there is no problem in other machine
(this is only happen with desktop application which using *.dll like *B 6., it called  "DLL_Hello"

this is only my opinion, CMIIW. Cheers

Top 5 DBA tasks that are a waste of time (article from searchsqlserver.com)

today i has read  a good article, it about Top 5 DBA tasks that are a waste of time (and might be hurting your SQL Server) in topic database management and administration.

Some tasks performed by DBAs on a regular basis not only have little to no benefit to SQL Server, but can actually be detrimental to the health of their environments.

#1. Shrinking the database

Daily shrinking of the database is bad for a few reasons. From the technical side, the biggest impact you will see is a greatly increased index fragmentation after each database shrink. In addition, shrinking the database files increases both the physical file fragmentation on the disk subsystem and the I/O load on the server, which decreases performance for other functions while the shrink operation is running.

#2. Truncating the transaction log

#3. Restoring a full backup to the log shipping target

#4. Defragging then rebuilding your indexes

#5. Manually reading through error logs

original article from http://searchsqlserver.techtarget.com/tip/0,289483,sid87_gci1376199,00.html?mboxConv=searchCIO_RegActivate_Submit&

after read this article, it seems many things to do in my office,in my sqlserveragent everyday always running jobs for "dump and shrink for all database".

my first disaster.

akhirnya diupayakan berbagai cara oleh bagian infrastruktur, safemode, last know good configuration, tetap tidak membuahkan hasil..

kl menurut bagian infrastruktur nya seh penyebabnya kemungkinan OS nya corrupt..

hingga akhirnya install ulang, OS, setting2 ulang sql server nya, dan replication nya.. [:'(]

dan total butuh waktu kurang lebih 3jam.

hiks..menyesal sekali, banyak belajar dari my first disaster ini, (learn from the scratch) menganggap tidak akan pernah terjadi hal seperti ini, biasanya hanya planing yg

standart saja, spt raid, backup sql, file.

next time must better and always learn from scratch.

why IE so 2006 ???

Using Internet Explorer
is So 2006

You deserve a better browser: Firefox is safer, faster
and easier to use than IE. Make the switch today!

hehehe... persaingan web browser kian memanas.
