Vista, Finally!
Finally I managed to try Windows Vista...
Last time, I tried to install Beta 2 on my notebook and it always crashed while installing the ACPI feature. After Googling I found that this problem can be resolved by disabling ACPI on the PC, but in my BIOS Setup there's no way to do that... there's nothing there except boot sequence! Btw it's a BenQ Joybook 5200.
Yesterday I bought myself a new desktop PC to replace my pitiful 3-year old one that's keeping hanging without any prior warnings. It's a dual-core Pentium-D with ATi Radeon Express 200 (well, I don't play games much) and 1GB of RAM... I installed Vista on it and it ran successfully. Awesome!
Anyway I still have a doubt of whether this new OS sells well. It looks beautiful, but the hardware requirements are really heavy. Why can't MS do something like Mac OS... it looks beautiful as well, with a lot of eye candies too, but it doesn't need a "DirectX compatible graphics adapter", a standard one will do....
