A Journey Across Indonesia

This week are going to be very challenging for me because I'm going to have a very tight schedule to travel across Indonesia. I’ll be at Mataram, Sumbawa, and Batam with various vehicles and a tight schedule. But I’ll enjoy this adventure so much.

May 29 {Mataram}

Depart from Jakarta to Mataram.

Well, this time we’re going to use our beloved National Airplane. I’m going to stay one night at Sheraton Senggigi Beach Hotel.

Please don’t imagine that I’m going to enjoy all this stuff, because I’m going to play with Visual Studio all night long in order to prepare a full day live demo session at Newmont. I want to give the best session to our customers as always.

May 30 {Batu Hijau}

Depart from Mataram to Batu Hijau with Seaplane. This is going to very interesting since the seaplane will be departing from the Mataram’s airport and landing on the sea!

Well, the taxi car that we have here is not a sedan, but it’s a double cab truck!

I’ll become a developer for one day to deliver LINQ, CardSpace, Silverlight, and Testing. No slides, only Visual Studio and Sticky Notes allowed.

May 31 {Jakarta}

Depart from Batu Hijau to Mataram with Seaplane. Sometime the seaplane is not allowed to fly then we will go with a chopper. But I prefer to go with Seaplane because I feel like I can touch the sky. Then I’m going to depart from Mataram to Jakarta. Stay one night at Sheraton Bandara Hotel and prepare for tomorrow event at Batam. I have to switch myself become IT Pro.

June 1 {Batam}

Depart from Jakarta to Batam at the morning and go directly to Novotel Batam in order to deliver one full day session TechNet Unified Communication.

This is the first time in Indonesia that a couple of crazy IT Pro geeks will deliver a LIVE DEMO SESSION, deploying Unified Communication Solution (DC, Exchange, OCS, and UM) in one Box Server with the latest technology such as Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V in just one day!

27052008

We (Me, Faisal, and Raymond) already did the PREPARATION for this since last month and we already have real experience deploying this infrastructure for our beloved NATIONAL ARMY. We won’t bring a fairytale (dongeng dengan powerpoint), but we will share our real experiences.

It’s too bad that I can’t have “gonggoms” with them because I have to go back to Jakarta at the afternoon. Anyway, someone is going to have her birthday and she is going to be very upset because I won’t be able to appear at her party. I’m very sorry for that.

June 2 {Jakarta}

The reason that I have to go back is I have to deliver one full day session at Expert Gym about Software Development Life Cycle with Visual Studio Team System starting from morning till afternoon. I have to switch again to become developer. I wonder why not much people are able to deliver this topic. Perhaps this session will be deleted from Expert Gym list next year since there’s a possibility no one can deliver. In other words, it could be the last.

June 3 {Jakarta}

<Canceled>

I will deliver one full day session with Fuady about Team System Perspective with Visual Studio Team System 2008

</Canceled>

Because it was canceled, I will take one day leave since I just figured out that for one year work, I only take 2 days leave. Well, but this day I'll release Microsoft Office Visio 2007 eBook. That's mean for Ronald you have to sent to me the final draft in June 1st to be reviewed.

Cheers,

Narenda Wicaksono

IT Pro / Developer / Whatever
