On December, 5th 2009, Microsoft Innovation Center ITB held Imagine Cup 2010 Campaign to socialize this viral student technology competition. We also invited campus nearby such as IT Telkom and UNIKOM. This event sponsored by Microsoft Indonesia.
There were 3 sessions that delivered by special speaker. Julius Fenata (ADE MS Indonesia) opened this session by explain briefly about the competition and pointed some clue “how to” find an idea that can win Imagine Cup 2010. He commented some interesting idea that came up in the last competition and encouraged the audience to try harder for this time. “It’s not only about the technology, but also the idea,how you delivered and present to the judge “, he said.
Ronald Rajagukguk ( Dev Advisor MS Indo) pointed the audience about the latest Microsoft technology that can be used in order to wrap the solution. He listed such newest stuff e.g WPF 4, Multi-touch, Silverlight 4 and Azure Service . He also did cool demo about Microsoft Silverlight 4. In this session, Narenda Wicaksono (Technology Advisor MS Indo) added motivational talk to the audience. “It’s passion that drive us”, he said. He also shared his experience when entered this competition in 2006.
The campaign completed by Big Bang Team, the winner of local software design 2009 and mobile award winner in the worldwide final. They shared their idea, their '”war” including how they have to sacrifice time to reach the final , and what they had now after winning the competition. “Last month, we sent to India sponsored by ITB and next week, this project will participate in APICTA, Melbourne”, David one of the member told us about the current status about the project.
I heard also about the APICTA result, and their project win the Merit Award, behind Singapore student project that came up with augmented reality work.
