Lovely Starter Kit…
Microsoft had released Starter kit for more than 4 years. As newbie developer, starter kit is a good kick's start to learn a .NET more deeply and practically. Last Night I explored architectural of Portal Starter Kits. A starter kit from ASP.NET and IbuySpy team. In every starter kits you will find n-tier architectural, modular based style (using ASP. net control), and of course integration with another Microsoft based product's such as MS SQL Server. Talking about the Database Server, recently in my spare time, I try to migrate all of connection in starter kit into another database such as MySQL. It's will do a lot of work since MySQL 4.0.X don't have Stored procedure and many advanced feature. Although their connector class (1.0.4) have a stored procedural for MySQL 5.0.0 But many hosting not support it and MySQL 5.0.0 it's still beta products, isn't it :)
