Welcoming Jogja Developers

Selama bulan februari ini ada dua event developer di jogja, High Performance Computing Workshop dan MSDN Chapter Meeting. Menarik sekali bisa dua kali ke kota gudeg, ketemu Student Ambassador, Ridi, teman-teman di FTE UGM, dan dosen-dosen UGM. Saya berharap akan tampil developer-developer .NET baru di jogja.

Di blogsnya Pak Tahir ada yang menarik tentang Paint.NET. Selain 110.000 download, bagian paling impressive adalah About Us. Mereka mulai mengembangkan aplikasinya saat masih kuliah. Salah satu pioneernya Rick Brewster yang sekarang sudah di Microsoft. Saya jadi berharap suatu saat akan lahir project-project seperti ini di Jogja, Jakarta atau dimana saja di Indonesia.

Membangun aplikasi bukan hal yang mudah, tapi bukan hal yang tidak mungkin dilakukan. Yang dibutuhkan adalah strong vision dan boldness. Di MSDN Chapter meeting Jogja, saya tunjukkan DotNetNuke, salah satu aplikasi CMS yang terbaik berbasis ASP.NET. Kalau developer lain bisa membangun itu, kenapa kita tidak? Apa yang mereka punya yang kita gak punya? Sampai saat ini saya tidak melihat perbedaan jelas kecuali mereka punya visi dan ngotot. Mereka melakukan apa yang tidak dilakukan oleh orang lain untuk visi yang mereka yakini.

Bicara tentang CMS, saat ini banyak sekali CMS yang free dan bisa di customize untuk mengembangkan package. DotNetNuke Framework, CSK Framework, NGallery, Community Server, Rainbow, Project Hurricane etc. Tidak satupun berbahasa Indonesia. Salah satu impian saya dan mas agus kurniawan, ada satu project CMS yang dibangun oleh dan untuk developer di Indonesia. Kita punya semua infrastruktur yang dibutuhkan, kita punya banyak teman developer, kita punya banyak teman architect yang bisa dijadikan tempat nanya, yang belum kita punyai, collaborative development spirit. OTAK Project sukses dengan collaborative writing, seharusnya kita bisa untuk development dengan hadirnya teman-teman baru dari Jogja. Saya menunggu siapa yang bersedia jadi leader untuk project CMS ini. Hasilnya bisa kita sumbangkan untuk Government, pengembangan website-website Government, UKM dll.

Extreme Optimization Mathematics Library for .NET includes classes for complex numbers, curves, solving equations, numerical integration, numerical differentiation, vectors, matrices, and various special functions.    

Mapack for .NET
Mapack is a .NET class library for basic linear algebra computations. It supports the following matrix operations and properties: Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction, Determinant, Norm1, Norm2, Frobenius Norm, Infinity Norm, Rank, Condition, Trace, Cholesky, LU, QR, Single Value decomposition, Least Squares solver, Eigenproblem solver, Equation System solver. The algorithms were adapted from Mapack for COM, Lapack and the Java Matrix Package.    

CenterSpace Software .NET Numerics
The NMath product suite from CenterSpace Software provides building blocks for mathematical, financial, engineering, and scientific applications on the .NET platform. Features include matrix and vector classes, random number generators, statistical functions, numerical integration methods, and object-oriented interfaces to public domain computing packages such as the BLAS (Basic Linear Algebra Subprograms) and LAPACK (Linear Algebra PACKage).
