MTC - Bangalore

MTC stands for Microsoft Technology Center, which is a world class facility that offers several services to customers and partners (ISVs and SIs) to architect and build high quality, world class, robust applications using Microsoft technologies. The services offered are free of charge and the main motivation here is to help customers and partners build high quality apps and infrastructure using our technologies. I currently sit at MTC-Bangalore to see all the facilities and meet some key people there to learn and get inspired to setup a MTC at Indonesia. Please go to www.microsoft.com/mtc for more information.

Today I have a meeting with Ramkumar Kothandaraman aka ram,  a great guy who is now the MTC Director at Bangalore. Before he leads the MTC, he worked with Microsoft India DP&E team as an Architect. He also worked as a Solutions Architect in the Architecture Strategy Team, Microsoft Corp. Redmond, before he decided back to India. Until now, he has been with Microsoft for more than nine years. After long discussion both in office and during smoking session, I found that he is very nice guy who has the same passion with me. You can see his previous article at MSDN, SOA Challenges: Entity Aggregation. Nice to meet you ram :).

Basically, MTC offers whole suite of things ranging from a quick 2-4 hours strategy briefing (SB) to 2 days architecture design sessions (ADS) to 2 weeks POC. Microsoft customers and partners can visit it to do SB, ADS or deep POC. If you come here, you can see many rooms with computers and whiteboard. Name of all room is adopted from great mathematician names like Euclid, Pythagoras, Ramanajan, etc. I absolutely love the idea! MTC has a big and excellence server room with many type of machines to facilitates the SB, ADS and POC. It is excellence guys! MTC also has an envision room with big screen and nice interior for customers. If you visit Bangalore, dont forget to see this facility. What I have in mind that one day we can setup MTC at Indonesia.

Ciao - R.A.M

.NET 3.0 Presentation at Vietnam

This will be the first time I visit Hanoi. Steve Ballmer will be there for a big event and I was invited to talk about .NET 3.0. Based on my previous experiences talking in non-bahasa audience, the situation will be challenging :). Imagine how you can explain XAML to non-developer audience, or what you should tell your son about WCF?

I hope everything will be okay. Wish me luck !

Thx - R.A.M.
