Need ideas?? We have a lot :). First – don’t think about technology at first. Think about business case that are uniquely happen in emerging country like us in Indonesia. Think about education, small medium business, rural people, or whatever… going deep with it and find out how technology can solve the problem uniquely with cool UX. PHP on Azure, SimpleCloud may help as many people think about cloud now – but again – think about the business case first.

See you in the contest :)

Application, Application, Application…..!

I was disconnected to geeks for almost 4 months!. It was not because I didn’t want to – but I was really focus to learn other thing – not far from programming and development world – its about software business. Yes, I was involved seriously to drive three key Government projects, rural IT, e-ID and e-Tax – things that I believe should be the mother and father of Indonesian IT projects. During that 4 months – I spend lot of time and energy but at the same time I do learn a lot. It makes me seeing many other sides of our IT ecosystem, triggered myself to believe that we can do big thing in Indonesia :). I’ll share about that later!.

Now I’m back and my focus is web application ecosystem in Indonesia. I want to connect to all developers, web development company (Web Pro) and everyone who want to create future web applications. If you attended to WebsiteSpark launch last week – you’ll agree that we already have everything to change the game.

#1 – We now have WebsiteSpark program. Free software access for who will create web apps. Register here.
#2 – We have good Windows based hosters ecosystem now – Infinys, GreenView and IndoNusa.
#3 – Our market is hungry for Next Generation Web applications.
#4 – Microsoft serious investments on Web and Cloud.

What is missing – “real developers and of course – applications”!. That part is what I want to re-focus in near future.

So, enough for intro - lets continuing our game to create cool web applications from now on. I want to see more startups like Armanovus, Agate, and Sangkuriang leading our market.  If you have great project ideas, let me know – you may become one of the change agent!

Application, Application and Application!

Cheers – RAM
