Yesterday, I was contacted by GM Operation
Binus Center Head Office, Miss Natalia.
Regarding to the opening of Binus Center Semarang, She requested me to develiver some programming focusing on C# to junior instructors. And I was very glad to accept. She gave me the outline material about C# and Visual C# (must be WindowsForm App).
I took some look at the material and I found there were some misconceptions. I suggested reorganizing the materials to be better. So she asked me to do it. 
Maybe the training will begin on May, so I am preparing the material now.
E-Learning Management Seminar, EduHub and E-BiNus are launching
Bina Nusantara University is going to organize a national seminar and workshop about E-Learning Management on April 27th - 28th, 2007. Prior to few months, they received Inherent Grant from the government with three major programs:
- Digital Content Development System in Bina Nusantara University.
- Learning Management System Development
- Digital Library Access
Target of Audience:
- - Head of University or Institute / Rector / Decision Maker of the university
The speakers are from DIKTI, University of Indonesia, and also of course Bina Nusantara University.
Price:
Seminar: Rp 300.000
Seminar + Workshop: Rp 350.000
Together with the seminar, 2 projects will launch. These are EduHub and E-BiNus. Both of the project are aim to support e-learning activity. By integrated the existing BLMS (BiNus Learning Management System) and Forum, EduHub and E-BiNus were developed.
EduHub is about B2B (Business to Business), where BiNus provides system and infrastructure to other developing universities or institutes, currently STMIK MDP. (Maybe STMIK Bali is going to follow up).
Another one is E-BiNus. This is B2C (Business to Customer). It is open for public. So for those who want to "buy" the modules / courses, they could register online by following the instructions. They could access the modules that are given in mostly animation (swf) files. And also they could access LMS and Forum.
Yesterday, Technology Development IT BiNus organized a technology update event "RFID".

The speaker came from 2 different venders:
- Soft Orb (If I m not wrong)
- NEC
BiNus tend to implement the RFID for their few systems (Parking, Library, etc) in BiNus School Serpong.
One of the simplest one that we have implemented is "Security Door".
I am sure that you have already tried it before.
Some business people use to estimate technical or IT people, they think that IT is just a supporter. They think their "business" is number 1. Actually not really, IT plays an important role in every aspect esspecially running business.
Can you imagine what will happen if a banking's server drop down suddenly?
