Just to show you how crazy and imaginative students around the world of Imagine Cup is...
1. I'm sure you've read DragonBall during your teenage years. Did you remember how Bezita can see the enemy's energy level from his sunglasses? Well. team Japan made it a reality by allowing a doctor to see how healthy a patient is! No need stetoscopes?
2. Have you seen Minority Report? Remember the part where Tom Cruise browse through criminal profiles by sliding his hands? Well, team China made it a reality by creating a device that's connected to the hand. Using WPF+BlueTooth+custom hardware, they showed how doctors can zoom through medical records without using keyboards, and how their hardware device can be used to play online games through WCF! Where's the connection? By playing games with your hands and legs, instead of hammering a gamepad/joystick, you exercise more :)
This is the level of Imagine Cup, people! It's not a simple application that uses Web Service that will win. It's not a custom hardware that you can connect to the PocketPC (otherwise Croatia would have won) that will win. It's a competition, hence there must be the WOW factor :)
I hope Indonesian students learn from this, and set their bars really high for the next Imagine Cup in Korea...
The theme will be “Imagine technology that will create better education”. Students, start creating!
