.Net 2.0 breaks 1.1 code, My is dropped, (Most) Longhorn components are not yet managed

MS bilang .Net 2.0 might break 1.1 code, especially di bagian serialization:

No more My Documents, My Pictures, My XXX:

When this project is done: Singularity, a Microsoft Research OS based on everything managed:

I thought Longhorn was NEVER built on Managed code...

It's like lying to the mass...

Lah, koq malah ke copy semua yah... let's do this again:

quote: "The original plan for Longhorn was to build lots of components on top of the next version of the .Net Framework," according to one of our developer sources, who requested anonymity. "But given how late (.Net Framework 2.0) is, and how new it would be (Microsoft Chairman) Bill Gates realized it would be foolish to build important pieces of Longhorn on top of .Net."

This is what I mean, kan dah gue tulis: "Tadinya, banyak komponen Longhorn yg akan dibuild pake .Net". Gue bilang "komponen", bukan "THE WHOLE OS" =)
