Introducing FromHere Windows Phone Mango App

We are glad to announce our first Windows Phone Mango 7.5 App published to Marketplace today, it’s called FromHere.

Click to Download FromHere for Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango).

Well, what’s it about? It’s based on the idea that from your current location, you can explore nearby coffee shops, restaurants, cash machines, gas stations, etc.

Heck, you can even search for a keyword that’s not in the category to see if you can look up for something nearby.

What if your favorite place is not listed? Well print out this one page, and give it to the manager of the place (if you don’t own the place), tell him that the place will be discoverable by smartphone users if he lists his business on Google Places. In highly-connected-to-Internet countries, you should get a lot of results using FromHere.

Ok, let’s get down to the features of the App:

1. The HomeScreen Panorama

When the app is launched, there are shortcuts you can right away click. Or if you slide it further, you can see the Search Box.

2. Search Results

When you click on a category or do a search, the Search Results page will be shown, and for your convenience, we sorted the results by distance from your current location.

3. The Map Page

When you click on a search result row, you should see the location on the map

4. The Details Page

When you tap on the rectangular black box on the map, you will be taken to the Details page. Here you can see the full address, phone number, and you can socially share the location via Email, SMS, Facebook, or Twitter.

5. The Directions Page

When you hit the arrow button from the Details page, by the magic of Mango, we will give you turn-by-turn navigation directions to the place. You can choose between Walking or Car option too.

And there you go, Download FromHere for Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) and start exploring places… FROM HERE!
